http://youngcons.com/a-witness-was-unknowingly-recorded-at-ferguson-shooting-scene-changes-everything/
This is a video of Michael Brown laying in the street after he was shot several times by Darren Wilson. The point of interest is around 6:28 where you can hear a witness describe the events that collaborate the officer's story.
I have never experienced tragedy to this magnitude before in my life. Are we as a society so truly backwards that we react before know all the facts? I believe that we were once a great nation of logical thinking people but something has happened to us when emotion takes hold. This is the second case where race of an individual has been brought to the forefront. Where do we look for guidance? I remember a time when all Americans could look towards the President and knew that no matter the party affiliation there was a trust that the people held. Yes, we are a republic and we should always look towards ourselves first. There were times as I grew up that we did look within, but also knew that the President spoke for all of us. As a people we voted for our leader, although we may or may not have liked the out come we came together. For example, the 2000, election George W. Bush became President under scandal, but when 9/11 showed the nation that we were vulnerable he stepped up to the plate and showed us that we will not be cowards. Where is the President now? The people of Ferguson, Missouri need a good word, a pat on the back or the President to show that he is up for the good fight. A friend of mine reminded me that people are murdered everyday. Why is this so special? It could be because the emotion and tension of the town were already so high. I just wonder if this isn't a distraction for something bigger. What are we missing as a nation? Have we lost God?
We are a nation built on the basic freedoms that we all share. The first of which we probably hold most dear Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech. This is where our country began and we are loosing. We are loosing because we as a people put our emotion before all else. It is time to put our faith first. Of course, we all worship differently but the faith and hope that this land is different from all others is the common ground for all of Americans. We are Americans! We are the hope that this nation will one day be great again. We as a people can come together as one to be Free.

No Justice;No Peace
There has been a lot going on in the United States this past week. It has been especially noted in Ferguson, Missouri with the shooting and death of Michael Brown. The summery of events starts on August 9, when a officer stopped Brown in order for him not to walk in the middle of the street. The reports that I have read and heard were that Michael Brown assaulted the officer reaching for the officer's gun. The officer, who has been identified as Darrin Wilson, shot Michael Brown several times that led to Brown's death. The fact that Brown was 18, and now dead is tragic enough but what has followed is the exact opposite of what Martin Luther King taught. Martin Luther King Jr. preached non violence during a time when it would have been perfectly logical for tempers to flare.
There are three elements that has not helped to stop the violence in Ferguson, Missouri. The police looked as if the military were marching down the street all because of a few who wanted to take advantage of a tragic situation. It's one of many elements that has not helped. Then there are persons like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who make money off of others suffering and create a atmosphere of racial tension. Sharpton and Jackson fly into a situation make a speech then go home to their million dollar homes. While they claim to be their to help and to preach peace their base gets more violent. The third element that has helped to continue the violence in Ferguson is the Black Panthers. In my memory off the top of my head this group took a militant stance during the civil rights movement. It's been their mantra to intimidate whether it's during the civil rights movement, 2012 election reports of Panthers standing in front of the voting locations and the Ferguson protest chant. "Who do we want? Darren Wilson. How do we want him? DEAD." How is this helpful?
The black community wants the same equal opportunity as their white brothers and sisters. I have grown up and raising a family in the wonderful state of Indiana. I have never seen the division that is happening now. It is my belief that it's been the election of Barack Obama that was suppose to create more of united nation but instead there have been more division. While President Obama is on vacation the town of Ferguson is on fire. He made a statement about how sad it was but he never said to stop. The President needs to take a stand and just say "STOP IT". Instead of being President on the week that Ferguson is turning into hell. He can cancel his vacation and lead. He chooses not to because according to those in his own party he is tired of being President. How can Ferguson, Missouri begin to heal? I look towards the man that died for what he believed. He lived the life of non violence. I am talking of Martin Luther King Jr. His lack of action speaks louder and accomplished more. The black community came out of segregation in both public life and school life and voting rights were defended. This done by the act of non violence which Martin Luther King Jr. spoke passionately about. I have linked a You Tube video in order to remind those who have lost hope. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74XJJ3Tq5ew

Freedom of Religion
This summer I was taking History I at Ivy Tech College in Indianapolis. I was faced with the realization that the professor who also has a law degree has a more liberal view of the constitution. I had to do what I had to do in order to make the grade in the class. Did this view point take into account why we are blessed to live in a country where Religion is free. It is our first Amendment in our Constitution and the reason the puritans came to settle in the new world. The question I have for the reader, Is this being selectively taken away? Why do atheist care so much?
The question of whether or not Freedom of Religion is being selectively removed. I was watching Fox News. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/08/11/navy-removes-bibles-from-guest-rooms/
They were reporting that Atheist were complaining about the Bibles being in Naval Lodges. We all know that when we go to a hotel that a Gideon Bible will be in the drawer of the night stand. What's the problem? If you do not worship the Christian God then don't open the Bible. One doesn't have to read the good book. I personally do like reading the Bible and other spiritual writings. If there is a concern for Freedom of Religion then go on a campaign to have other spiritual books in the hotel room. The Bible in the night stand isn't going to hurt or hinder religious freedom. It's not going to take away the Atheist belief that there isn't a God. Do they think that the Bible is going to physically reach out grab an Atheist and say, "READ ME!!" Are they afraid that they might actually get some spiritual truth? It is my belief that Religion of any kind is being taken out of American Culture. It will soon be taboo and politically incorrect to practice any religion out in the open. All in the name of that it might offend someone. The first Amendment of the Constitution of the United States reads as follows: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof: or abridging the freedom of speech, or the press: or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." We as a people can practice of religion or not practice at all. We have to remember that the United States military do what we will not do fighting and dying to protect what we have built.
Why do Atheist care? I get it they want to be as valid as the rest of us. Yes, all people and beliefs should be seen a valid.

Atheist believe that there isn't a higher power, but if one also takes in account one being an Agnostic they don't know if there is a God. Where is their outrage? It is not to take away the right of others. They are living in a country that has churches, crosses and synagogues. Think of the rest of the world. Iraq is under siege of Isis who are killing Christians. The Christians or true Muslims can't speak out without being killed. The children are being killed just for being the Children of Christians. Saudi Arabia where a woman can't drive a car. In Gaza the terrorist group Hamas are using children as a human shield, so they can point and say look what Israel has done. Why are the Atheist complaining about? We are living in a country that doesn't shoot or behead you for your religious beliefs. Maybe just maybe it's time for a new philosophy when speaking on Religious Freedom. GET OVER IT!!! People believe and that's ok.

Ann Coulter's Rambling
I first heard about Ann Coulter's opinion on Dr. Kent Brantly and Africa from Dana Loesch on her Friday night program on The Blaze. It had sealed the deal for me on why I believe that Ann Coulter has been bad for the conservatives in this country and I needed to check the article out for myself. I know she is and countless like her are nothing but opinion. The smart intelligent women of the right will listen to her simply because she is a woman. Here is her website so that you can form your own opinion, http://www.anncoulter.com/
I grew up in the church, but religion was liberally taught in my home. The basic point was follow the Ten Commandments, love others, obey the parental units and be tolerant of those who pray and worship differently from me. It was really basic simple God loves everyone. I was allowed to explore with the guidance of my family. I have seen nothing wrong with this family plan and hope that this is what I am passing to my children. The moment I hear Ann Coulter speak it makes me cringe. I believe she takes her idea of Christianity to a whole new level with the article that she posted on her website. She basically raises the question of why did Dr. Kent Brantly have to go to Africa and why couldn't he minister through Christ here in America. Ms. Coulter I am here to answer for you it's because he was called to Africa and it's where his heart most likely felt at home. I don't know the man personally, but know that when my heart isn't where it should be then life just isn't where it should be for me.
I personally would not go if I was leaving a family behind. This guy risked his life for those in Africa that did not share his same religious views. I know that we as an American society live or worship differently than one another. The families in African countries and other places around the world do not share the same exceptionalism that we in the States have enjoyed. I would imagine that Dr. Kent Brantly wanted to share this American idea through his love for Christ. Dr. Kent Brantly was called and didn't waist time and worry. He could have accepted the medicine but declined in favor of the nurse that was working with him. This is the example that we all should set and especially those of us who are American Citizens. I ask this question, Why is it a bad thing to not only to serve here in the United States but take this exceptionalism and spread it around the world? Let's show the world the best of us as the missionaries in Africa risked their lives to do the same. It is my hope that Ms. Coulter remembers as to why she is a Christian. Christ sent the twelve to show freedom through God. This is all Dr. Kent Brantly was doing and it is a job well done.
